ISHS Acta Horticulturae 448: III International Symposium on Mineral Nutrition of Deciduous Fruit Trees

INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT SOIL CONDITIONS AND NITROGEN APPLICATIONS ON ARBUSCULAR MYCORRHIZAS WITH APPLE TREES

Authors:   E. Dörgô, J. Papp, Cs. Dobolyi, T. Bubán
Keywords:   apple, arbuscular mycorrhiza, colorization rate, spore production, soil management
Abstract:
Arbuscular mycorrhiza infection of apple trees was studied in three sites with different ecological conditions in Hungary. The spore number and species of AM in the vicinity of apple roots was affected by rootstocks and cultivars. The activity of AM is influenced by various soil cover managements in the tree strips. Nitrogen application increased the total number of AMF spores.
