Abstract:
The object of this research was the nutritional status of plants, the production of the varieties Chardonnay and Tempranillo with respect to the traditional Garnacha variety, and the study of the effect of different rootstocks (110 Richter, 161–49 Couderc, 41 B Millardet, SO4 and 140 Ruggeri) on these parameters.
The vineyards presented acceptable nutritional levels, but in the case of calcium very low levels were found.
The earliest variety (Chardonnay) is also the least vigorous.
A clear influence of the variety on the nutritional status was observed.
Moreover, results emphasised the major effect of rootstock on plant vigour and on grape production.
