Abstract:
The effect of phenolic substances on growing and especially rooting during in vitro growth of strawberry, grape, quince, tomato and artichoke was researched.
In vitro shoot segments were periodically sampled and extracted.
One and two dimensional thin layer chromatograms were prepared.
Rf values and color reactions of the obtained spots were examined as well.
Although, it was determined that the flavonoids doesn't have any positive effects in quince, most of the phenylpropenes may have positive effects, in strawberry, tomato and grape.
The effects were found to vary.
Some of them may not have any affects while some stimulated.
This research has shown that phenolic substances might be effective during growth under in vitro conditions.
