| Abstract:
Anti-cancer alkaloids vincristine and vinblastine make Catharanthus roseus an invaluable plant. For alkaloid extraction, in vitro plant multiplication is an ideal approach to produce leaf material in large quantity. Axillary bud explants produced multiple shoots in three different multiplication cycles. The best phytohormone combination for shoot multiplication was 4 μM BA and 5 μM NAA. | |
