Abstract:
In micro propagation of sour cherry cv.
Heimanns Rubinweichsel, shoot tip samples were taken at different dates throughout the season.
The best results were obtained with samples taken in spring (89 shoots/exp.) cultured in MS media containing 0.5 mg/l BAP + 0.1 mg/l NAA. During subculturing, MS + 1.0–1.5 mg/l BAP was found to be the ideal medium.
Together with shoot tip samples explants showed an actives multiplication in this medium.
No significant differences were determined with IAA, IBA and NAA at 0.5–1.0 μM levels.
From shoot tips and nodes used as explants, 1500 shots can be obtained from a shoot after 5 months subculturing period.
