RATIONALIZATION OF MICROPROPAGATION BENCH: A NOVEL INITIATIVE TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE EXPLANT MANIPULATION

Authors:   T. Kertész, M. Fári
Keywords:   micropropagation bench, designing of explant manipulation, opening-closing device of tissue culture containers, inoculation device, reducing of labor
Abstract:
The Agricultural Biotechnology Center (ABC), Gödöllõ, Hungary, designed the CLONER rationalized micropropagation bench. The CLONER is a new type of laminar air flow cabinet, comprising two inventions, the Sterile Inoculation Device (Conênio CODEVASF / AGROINVEST and the Opening and Closing Device (OCD). This system has been characterized carefully by the biological as well as by the economical criteria of the micropropagation. According to pilot-scale experiences, the operation process with the CLONER -on routine level-could improve the productivity of the labor by 25–150 %.
