RESEARCH ON THE HAZELNUT PESTS IN ROMANIA |

| Abstract:
During 1990 – 1995, in the conditions from Rm. Vâlcea area have been studied and established the biological parameters for the hazelnut pests: nut weevil (Curculio nucum L.), hazel sawfly (Croesus septentrionalis L.), filbert bud mite (Phytoptus avellanae Nal.), etc. Health treatments have been applied at their appearance for their destruction and control, and the following conditions were taken into account : biological, ecological, phenological and the simultaneity of the appearance of their vulnerable stages. Good results for the main hazelnut pests control were obtained with the following products based on: methidathion, methilclorpyriphos (Curculio nucum L.), alphamethrin, lambda-cihalotrin (Croesus septentrionalis L.), endosulphan, bifentrin, hexytiazox (Phytoptus avellanae Nal.). | |
