Abstract:
Seaweed extract (SWE) was applied at 2 concentrations (0,1 and 2%) once or twice shortly after petal fall, on kiwifruit vines.
SWE, 2%, applied once at 10 days after petal fall, seemed to be the saturation point for SWE application.
SWE spays resulted in increased mean fruit weight by about 25 g, fruit length by about 16 mm and advanced the maturity period by 14–15 days compared to the control.
