Abstract:
Early table apricot production has gained importance for several decades in the Coastal Mediterranean Region of Turkey.
The objective of this study was to contribute to the knowledge of fruit maturing time of the new types and some cultivars by using effective heat summations (EHS) from full bloom, rather than by the number of days from full bloom or calendar dates.
The EHSs of most types and of late cultivars appeared to be an averaged about 1100 degree-days (base 6 °C), while it was an average of 900 degree-days for the early ones.
