Authors:   T. Yesiloglu, H. Gübbük, E. Polat, M. Erkan
Abstract:
In this study, conducted in the Agricultural Faculty of Akdeniz University, 25 cm cuttings of 'Hicaznar' pomegranate were used. Girdling, single knife cut and double knife cut all the way around the base of cuttings were applied, and the cuttings were planted outdoors. Characteristics such as rooting rate, number of shoots, shoot length and shoot diameter were measured.

The girdling and double knife cut applications gave the best quality of nursery plants, although the differences in rooting rate among treatments were not statistically significant.
