EMBRYO RESCUE ON ABORTIVE PISTACHIO SEEDS |

| Abstract:
This research was carried out to determine best culture medium for germination of pistachio embryos. Abortive pistachio seeds was used as a plant material. These were brought from Kerman, Iran. Embryos were germinated on full MS hormone-free medium; half-strenght MS with sucrose-hormone-free medium and half-strenght liquid MS medium without sucrose and hormone. Two weeks after germination, plants were transferred to the same media. Roots and shoots growth were observed in these media. Best shoot and root growth was obtained in half-strenght liquid MS medium without sucrose and hormone. | |
