Abstract:
CG (Computer Graphics) is expected to help to recognize the complicated flow fields in agricultural structures, and to offer the estimations of local ventilation efficiencies.
As an example, the airflow in a structure which has an inlet duct and an outlet duct was calculated three-dimensionally using a computational fluid dynamics technique with a standard k- type turbulent flow model.
Then, the numerical data were visualized by assembling AVS (Application Visualization System) modules.
The averaged velocity vector field and the scaler fields of averaged velocities, kinetic energies, dissipations, eddy viscosities and statistic pressures are described.
It could be visually shown that the complicated flow field was constructed by circulating main flow from the inlet slit along the walls and inhaling flow to the outlet.
The movement of particle tracers in the flow field was visualized on a computer display by the AVS modules.
The animation of particles revealed a very important index for local ventilation efficiency.
