| Abstract:
Three-year studies on the pollination of strawberry cultivated in a unheated plastic tunnel aimed at the utilization of solitary bee Osmia rufa L. and the evaluation of its pollination work in comparison with two other methods of pollination by blowing and by self-pollination. On the basis of results obtained from the studies, it must be stated that the bee Osmia rufa is an effective pollinator of strawberry and it can be used for the pollination of cultivations under cover (plastic tunnels, greenhouses). It limits the proportion of deformed fruits in the total yield, and it increases the percentage of best quality fruits, and the total mass of fruits obtained from one plant. | |
