| Abstract:
The influence of different dates of plant establishment in waiting-beds and glasshouse planting on strawberry spring yield in an unheated glasshouse was examined. Earlier plant establishment in waiting-beds (7th August) and glasshouse planting (3rd September) produced higher yields of four strawberry cultivars tested, the highest but slightly later yield was obtained by 'Syriusz' and then by 'Elsanta'. 'Honeoye' produced the earliest but lowest yield. There was little effect of type of plant (frigo or fresh) / planting date on yield of the cultivars tested. | |
