| Abstract:
In Sweden in 1995, 1037 farmers grew 3362 ha and in 1984, 1088 farmers grew 1947 ha of strawberries. The major growing districts in 1995 were the following: Blekinge 416 ha, Kristianstad 429 ha, Kalmar 365 ha, Malmöhus 236 ha, Halland 164 ha and further to the north, Östergötland 217 ha, Västergötland and Bohuslän 443 ha. In the most northern province, Norrbotten, 52 ha are grown. Strawberry growing is spreading throughout the country. | |
