Abstract:
Two experiments were carried out at Bosaily experminatal station of agricultural research center during the winter seasons of 1993 and 1994 to study the effect of spraying three micro nutrients i.e. Mg (500 and 1000 ppm), Zn and Mn (50 and 100 ppm) on the yield and fruit quality of cucumber Cucumis sativus L. cv. Rawa F1 hybrid, grown under unheated green-house conditions. The results indicated that spraying cucumber foliage with Mg, Zn and Mn in different concentrations significantly increased both early and total yields. The most effective treatment was spraying Mg with 500 ppm which increased early yield by 47.7 % and 11% and total yield by 28 % and 17.48 % in both seasons respectively.
