| Abstract:
The Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Agrónomos of Madrid had had a group of greenhouses built,for research and training purposes. It occupies a 1 750 m2 area, and is distributed in five glasshouses and one plastic house. Ornamental plants are grown in five houses, horticultural crops in one greenhouse. The greenhouses are provided with heating system, automatic temperature control, mist system for rooting tests, photo-electrically controlled illumination and cooling system. As a first research step, studies on outside climate incidence on the inside environment, are being carried out in order to get an accurate knowledge of the conditions that this installation offers for researchwork. | |
