ISHS Acta Horticulturae 429: XIII International Symposium on Horticultural Economics

HORTICULTURAL ECONOMICS: PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE

Author:   Robin G. Brumfield
Keywords:   Horticulture, Twenty-first century, Economic trends, New Jersey
Abstract:
A review of the last decade of U.S. agricultural history affirms that dramatic changes have occurred in horticulture. It seems evident that changes will continue into the next century and will involve issues of marketing, international trade, production, environmental protection, information systems, education, and governmental policies. Agricultural economists will need to consider many provocative questions as we prepare for the twenty-first century.
