Abstract:
A general analysis of the source-sink relationships at a basic level and within the whole plant is made.
The concept of biological "triptych" is presented.
Then some demonstrative results are taken from the grapevine biology and cultivation practice as an illustration.
In particular some emphasis is put on the influence of vigour status, crop load and canopy exposure on the sink "berry maturation".
