Abstract:
Field studies in apple orchard on two cultivars: Jonathan and Wealthy at three levels of population: 5, 10 and 20 egg masses per tree were conducted.
The results showed that the size of leaf and fruit damages was related to density of larvae.
A positive correlation between the number of larvae/tree and the number of damaged leaves (leafrolls), as well as the number of damaged fruit has been found only for cv.
Wealthy.
The effect of larvae feeding on yield of both cultivars depended on the total number of fruit/tree mainly.
