Abstract:
Since 40 years the system of Integrated Production is in discussion and gradually in realisation.
In the first period people had to define the system as a new way beside the already known organic farming.
In the second period scientists worked out guidelines and exact instructions for farmers and growers.
Finally, the marketing of this new production line had to be established including the creation of control measurements and labels.
So far, the system works for each crop separately.
Also the guidelines are written separately for each species.
The term Integrated Fruit Production (IFP) stands now for all commercially grown fruit species in the temperate zones.
After the definition of IFP, the system has to be improved gradually.
Within a few years we have to start to adopt our guidelines to new requirements.
Scientists have to work out new solutions.
In addition IFP has no geografical borders.
The problem is worldwide.
Enlargement of integrated thinking is more necessary than ever.
