| Abstract:
In the past ten years, we had to face practical problems which represented important obstacles in rose improvement, such as : low sexual reproduction results (seriously reducing the impact of traditional hybridization programs), poor post-harvest abilities, restricted use of somaclonal variation, inter-varietal and -specific crossing impossibilities. Thanks to integrated research programs, we made some decisive progress on these different aspects.
