AMPLIFIED FRAGMENT LENGTH POLYMORPHISM (AFLP) MAPPING IN PETUNIA; A FAST AND RELIABLE METHOD FOR OBTAINING A GENETIC MAP

Authors:   T. Gerats, P. Keukeleire, R. Deblaere, M. Montagu, J. Zethof
Abstract:
The development of molecular techniques has revolutionised genetic mapping. Here we describe the application of SRFA (Selected Restriction Fragment Amplification) in the analysis of the Petunia genome. The method allows a very fast and reliable development of a genetic map. Moreover, with this method one can select multiple markers in specific area's of the genome.
