THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT IN-ROW SPACINGS ON YIELD, GROWTH AND SAME QUALIFICATIONS UNDER ARID CONDITIONS |

| Abstract:
This study was carried out from 1975 to 1994 to determine the proper in-row spacings for pistachios under arid conditions in Gaziantep. Uzun, Siirt and Ohadi cultivars were planted at spacings of 4×8 m, 6×8 m and 8×8 m. Although the trees planted at an 8×8 m spacing, a better tree development and better nut characteristics, better yield per decar were determined. However, ten years after the first harvest every other tree in the row should be removed. The Siirt cultivar produced the highest yield and followed by Ohadi cultivar. Uzun cultivar produced the lowest yield. | |
