Abstract:
Seven successional plantings were made at four-weekly intervals from September with the varieties UC157 and Jersey Giant.
From four weeks after the first planting successional destructive harvests were made at four-weekly intervals until autumn.
Plant growth fitted a logistic growth model with a heat unit time scale.
The shoot root ratio increased until the February harvest when it started to decrease.
This pattern was followed by all plantings.
