Abstract:
The elicitor of tomato plant resistance to Septoria lycopersici Speg. was found in some lipidic fractions fron fungus mycelium.
The elicitor strongly diminished the intensity of pathogen attack (from 80% to 11–13%). The chromatogram of leaf glycosides suggested that the so-called vand C (Rf=0.35) could be a marker of the resistance, being present at both the resistant genotype and the elicited variants of the susceptible one.
The lack of two chromatographic bands of phophoric esters found in the lipidic fractions could be an explanation for the low protective effect of those phospholipids isolated from the fungus tissue.
