Abstract:
This study concerning the growth of sweet pepper plants in soilness system proposed to solve some problems raised by traditional culture. The authors have compared two kinds of chemically active, organic substrates, made of local materials such as: composted bark, sand and red and black peat. Taking into account on one hand the chemical analysis of the composition of substrates and irrigation water, and on the other hand, the physiological requirements of sweet pepper plantys, the authors established an initial receipt for optimum fertilization (based on macroelements and fundamental microelements). During the vegetative period, the authors periodically noticed the fertilization evolution of the substrate by chemical analysis, the controlof the plant growing and development by biometrics measurements, the dynamics of climatic factors and their influence on substrate and green pepper plants, and harvest data. Results empahasize the superiority of substrate over soil cultivation by doubling the total yield, two-week earlier harvest in the condition of a draticaldiminution of the number of phytosanitary treatments.
