Abstract:
The first incidence of fire blight in Switzerland was reported in 1989. Strong efforts have been taken to eradicate all infected plants in order to reduce the infection potential.
In this eradication program the incautious handling of infected plants or tools includes the danger of spreading the disease by humans.
In this context we elaborate guidelines for the disinfection of contaminated tools.
