Abstract:
Nitrogen and phosphorus had only small effects on leaf nutrient content.
Potassium fertilization was positively correlated with leaf-K content and negatively related to leaf-Mg.
Nitrogen and potassium fertilization had a favourable effect on fruit set, but yield was increased only by potassium.
Positive effects of K and slightly negative effects of N on the frost hardiness of flowers were shown in the orchard and also in a controlled climate chamber.
Microclimate had a stronger effect on frost damage of the flowers than did the nutrient supply.
