Abstract:
A study of the course of growth not only served as a relatively simple demonstration of the competition between growth and fruiting, but could also be used as a rapid preliminary selection method.
A rootstock trial was established to study the growth rate of the central leader with various combinations of cherry scion and rootstock.
The amount of growth taking place after mid-June is important for the development of fruit.
