EFFECT OF ROOTSTOCK ON FRUIT CHARACTERISTICS OF 'STELLA' SWEET CHERRY |

| Abstract:
'Stella' fruits from an international rootstock trial were analysed for quality components and other fruit characteristics. The rootstocks included in the Aas part of the trial are Colt, Charger, W 10, GM 79, W 13, GM 61/1, and GM 9. Trees on all rootstocks, with the exception of GM 9, carried a satisfactory crop in the 1992 season. The results so far show statistically significant effects of rootstock on fruit pH, content of titratable acids and pit size. Soluble solids content and fruit colour did not seem affected by rootstock. | |
