Abstract:
One of the constraints on sweet cherry cultivar breeding is the low efficiency of artificial crosses.
There is only one seed per flower, a relatively low fruit set and a low germination rate.
The authors increased the number of seedlings produced by techniques which involved raising adventitious shoots from cotyledons.
