Nowadays, the wide application of chrysanthemum in cut-flower decoration and field-planting has added to its unique charm. Varieties of chrysanthemum can be seen everywhere in room, yard and city decoration.

Chrysanthemum has become one of the four main cut-flowers with one-third of the world cut-flower production. However, the production in our country is inferior and cannot meet the year-round needs. Furthermore, we are lacking in the varieties for our special use.

So our project is to select is to select and breed new early-blooming new chrysanthemum varieties and meet the needs of summer and early autumn use in the area fo Beijing. The perspective of the project is to breed the new varieties which bloom around the National Day under natural conditions without any special light or heat treatment.
