WATERMELON SEED POLYMORPHIC POLYPEPTIDES (WSPP) AND THEIR MOLECULAR GENETIC ROLE

Authors:   H. Yu, Y. Shi, L. Junpu, W. Jian
Keywords:   watermelon, electrophoresis, polypeptides
Abstract:
Thanks to Zamir D, Biles C L and Xingping Z. Their studies prevented us form doingthe same and gave us chance for finding new things in watermelon. Since we discovered the WSPP in 1991, further studies have been conducted in our laboratories. The studies included items as follow: 1) the influence of some factors on the electrophoritic separation of the WSPP. 2) WSPP banding patterns and their molecular genetic role. 3) what happened to the WSPP when the seeds gerinatied.
