Abstract:
Four inbred linese of cucumber (Cucumis Sativus L.) selected as experimental material, the heterosis and genetic reles of nine agronomic characters have been analysed with the second method of Grifing's complete dialles cross.
According to the analysis of heterosis, total yield, early yield, fruit number, average fruit weight, leaf area, fruit ratio and fruit shape index reveal positive heterosis.
Vine lenth shows negetive.
It means that the shorter vine lenteh is, the more yield cucumber produces.
Also node of first female flower flower states negetive heterosis, that is what node of the first female flower is most influenced by the earlier parent.
So the hybrid breeding is a very important way in cucumber production.
The yield is most affected by two agronomic characters, fruit number and average fruit weight, they can be selected directly in the breeding.
