Abstract:
Syamena fertile segregation in F2 and BC1 generations produced by five fertile restorers of alloplasmic male sterile line CMS3411–7 respectivally were distinguished in 1992. It shows that the nucleus sterile gene in CMS3411–7 is one pare recessive gene (rfrf), the sterile cytoplasm (S) have a few susceptibility with surroundings; and the nucleus restoring genes in restorers may have two systems at least.
One is qualitative character controlled by one part dominant gene (RfRf), this restoration is stable and entire, three fertile plants to one sterile plants separated in F2 generations, one to one in BC1 generations; Another is quantitative character including 2–3 nucleus genes, stamena fertile in F1 expressed as intermediated form, sequential variation occured in F2 and restoration is unentire and change easily with surroundings.
At the same time, the genetics of flowers color in chinese cabbage were studied also.
It shows that orange color dominant to yellowish color, and there is one pare major gene in it.
Flower color and stamena sterile are independent traits, no linkage relationship between them.
In addition, the manifold system of restoring gene in chinese cabbage and difference of vigor between rf and Rf male gametes were discussed.
Two programmes of inducing restorer to maintainer are given.
