CHINESE CABBAGE MALE STERILE LINE SELECTION AND ITS INHERITANCE LAW

Authors:   S. Xiangqun, S. Jian, W. Xin, X. Yanhui
Keywords:   chinese cabbage, genetic genes interaction, dominate-suppression, male sterility
Abstract:
A male sterile Line by interaction of genes was selected through test crossing with dominate genetic male sterile dual purpose line 8901A as female parent, and distant hybrid 735–8–1–1 as male parent; then fertile plants of F1 hybrids selfing and selfing offsprings sistermating 100% sterile plants with complete sterility, normal nectar glands and heading, and high combining ability were found in the male sterile selection. The research indicated that the male sterility of Chinese cabbage was controlled by the interaction of two pairs of genetic genes which possessed dominate-suppression effect.
