| Abstract:
Laboratories throughout the world have developed their own methods for analyzing and characterizing soil improvers and growing media. The same goes with regard to the official methods used in the various countries of the western world so that comparison of results is problematic and confusing. Within the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), efforts are being done to develop reference methods and drafts for the determination of physical and chemical properties of these materials. | |
