Abstract:
Seasonal variations of N,P,K,Ca,Mg,Mn,Fe,Zn and B contents in the leaves and fruits of loquat were studied from 1991 to 1993. Results showed that the contents of N, P and K in the leaves declined with increasing leaf age, while the contents of Ca, Mg and Mn increased gradually, and the contents of Fe,Zn and B were relatively low and varied enormously; that the contents of the above nutrient elements were higher during the retardation phase of young fruits, but they quickly decreased with bulking of the fruits.
The optimal sampling period for leaf analysis is considered to be October because the contents of most of the elements in the leaf were relatively stable in this season.
