Abstract:
A study was conducted on eight cultivars of table grapes at Fruit Research Station, Tarhuna to study the time of cyclic growth and heat unit requirements for various stages of growth.
The cultivar Cardinal was found to be the earliest one requiring only 1721.9 heat units from bud burst to fruit ripening.
The cultivars Regina Di Frenzi and Sanganellu were found to be late cultivars requiring 2281.7 and 2285.7 heat units.
The study indicated that the time of bud burst did not vary between the early ripening and late ripening cultivars.
