THE SUSCEPTIBILITY OF SOME APRICOT AND PLUM VARIETIES TO PLUM POX (SHARKA) VIRUS |

| Abstract:
The sensitivity of 7 apricot and 6 plum varieties to plum pox virus was studied for a period of 4 years on trees which were infected in the field in Ankara. Apricot varieties Aprikoz, Çöloglu, Hacihaliloglu, Procosede Boulbon, Rakowski, Tokaloglu, Sam and plum varieties Giant, Köstendil, Karagöynük, Reine Claude Violete, Stanley were found susceptible. However, Stanley plum variety showed leaf symptoms only. Can plum variety was found to be tolerant without leaf, fruit and stone symptoms. | |
