Abstract:
Polyclonal and monoclonal antisera for an Italian isolate of plum pox virus (PPV) from apricot, were used in the ELISA test, which provides an early and reliable detection method for PPV.
Our results revealed that the monoclonal antibodies are more sensitive than the polyclonal antiserum in detecting PPV from various tissues collected at different vegetative growth stages of trees.
