ISHS Acta Horticulturae 384: X International Symposium on Apricot Culture

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRATIFICATION PERIODS AND SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF ROOTSTOCK IN APRICOT CULTIVARS

Authors:   S. Ercisli, M. Güleryüz
Abstract:
The objective of this study was to investigate the rootstock characteristics after various stratification periods of six apricot cultivars. The percentage of germination increased as the stratification period increased. A stratification for 63 days was the most effective for optimal growth in all cultivars.

Increases in the stratification period in general increased the heights, diameters, uniformity and weighed scores. Weighed score was the highest in cvs. Tebereze and Sekerpare.
