Abstract:
The morphology of the stigma and nectar-secretary gland of 4 apricot cultivars (Bergeron, Borsi-féle kései rózsa, Gönci magyar kajszi and Ceglédi óriás) was examined in a commercial orchard in Kecskemét (Hungary) from 1988 to 1990.
The stigma of apricot cultivars have an elliptic on shape with papillate and dome-shaped surface.
The deep interlacing is noticeable with different dimension in varieties.
Tests have shown that the size of stigma varies between cultivars and showed an unstable state each year.
Each cultivar had a general tissue structure which showed certain differences due to varieties.
The nectariferous areas were orange coloured and the nectar-secretary glands were epimorphic or automorphic.
