Abstract:
Cold injury to flower buds of 48 apricot varieties was evaluated following test winters at 4 locations.

According to our results apricot flower buds are the least hardy among stone fruit species grown in Hungary.

The flower bud survival among the important varieties grown in Hungary was grouped as follows:

tender varieties: Budapest, Ceglédi biborkajszi,

medium tender varieties: Ceglédi óriàs, Magyar kajszi,

hardy varieties: Bergeron, Borsi-féle kései rózsa, Kécskei rózsa, Mandulakajszi, Pannónia.
