GROWTH AND FRUITFULNESS EVALUATION OF APRICOT VARIETY VELKOPAVLOVICKA CLONES OVER A PERIOD OF 22 YEARS (1969–1990) |

| Abstract:
The best three clones of the Velkopavlovicka variety LE-10/1, LE-11/1 and LE-12/1 were chosen by clonal selection. Their average hectare yield was from 8.2 to 8.8 t.ha-1. Control clones reached only 3.3–4.3 t.ha-1. The growth-rate of the best clones after 22 years was 18.6 to 30.7% lower than the growth-rate of control clone VA-K 2. The necrosis area of the best clones on a trunk was half as big as well. Average yearly decline of trees was from 1.0 to 1.6%, decline of control clones was from 2.1 to 2.3%. | |
