INVESTIGATIONS ON THE ADAPTATIONS OF SOME LOW-CHILL APRICOT CULTIVARS TO ADANA (TURKEY) ECOLOGICAL CONDITIONS |

| Abstract:
In this paper, 8 low-chill cultivars of apricot (Bebeco, Beliana, Canino, Feriana, Precoce de Colomer, Precoce de Tyrinthe, Priana, Trewatt) were experimented in Adana. The yield and the pomological characteristics of the fruit (fruit weight, seed weight, TSS, acidity) and the earliness were taken into consideration. As a result, from the view points of precocity, yield and quality characteristics, Priana, Beliana, Feriana, Precoce de Colomer and Precoce de Tyrinthe cultivars were found to be the most recommendable of the cultivars for the whole Mediterranean coastal line of Turkey. | |
