Abstract:
The analysis of the mineral composition of olive leaves ('Leccino', 'Nociara' and 'Ogliarola Salentina') sampled from fruiting and vegetative shoots and in relation to three water regimes ( dry control, monthly irrigation and weekly irrigation according to soil moisture content) has evidenced a lower N,P,K and Na leaf content and a higher Ca leaf content in the fruiting shoots.
Irrigation treatments resulted in a higher leaf mineral content in comparison to dry control, but frequent irrigation, coinciding with the highest yields, resulted in many cases in lower leaf mineral content compared to the monthly irrigation.
Finally during the on-year the leaf mineral content was lower, excepted Mg and Mn.
