ISHS Acta Horticulturae 382: IV International Symposium on Soil and Substrate Infestation and Disinfestation

SPECTRUM OF ACTIVITY OF DAZOMET

Author:   D. Mappes
Abstract:
Soil sickness is caused by a complex of various pathogens, pests and nematodes. This means that for soil sterilization only chemicals with a broad spectrum, like dazomet, are effective.

The activity of dazomet depends on various factors such as rate, incorporation depth, kind of plant, type of soil, etc., so it is important to be sure of the conditions before soil sterilization is undertaken. If the recommendations are followed, dazomet is effective against a wide range of nematodes, fungi, bacteria, pests and weeds.
