Abstract:
Evernia prunastri thalli contain three main phenolics: atranorin, usnic acid and evernic acid.
Phenols can be translocated from the medullar to the cortical areas by means of rehydration.
This response is modified by red light or by a supply of cyclic AMP. However, atranorin is the unique compound significantly affected.
